The Digital Career Counselling Conference was created to help Career Development Practitioners, Career Counsellors, Employment Advisors and Career Services professionals confidently navigate these changes with practical, strategic approaches they can apply immediately.

Keeping clients engaged throughout the employment journey has become increasingly challenging in today's digital service environment. This session explores how career practitioners can intentionally design digital career services that encourage participation, maintain momentum and support continued client progress between appointments.
Participants will learn practical approaches for creating engaging digital client experiences through purposeful communication, between-session activities, hybrid service delivery, digital resources and scalable engagement strategies. The session emphasizes designing services that keep clients connected and progressing while improving consistency and reducing the need for intensive follow-up.

Artificial intelligence is transforming how people search for work, apply for jobs and demonstrate their skills to employers. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into recruitment and the workplace, career practitioners play an essential role in helping clients understand where AI adds value—and where authentic human strengths continue to matter most.
This session explores practical coaching strategies that help clients develop and communicate their unique value in an AI labour market. Participants will learn how to coach clients beyond AI-generated applications by strengthening authentic communication, professional judgement, adaptability, relationship-building and other human capabilities that support long-term career success.

Today's labour market has transformed the way clients research, evaluate and negotiate employment opportunities. Salary transparency, digital labour market information, AI-assisted research and evolving workplace expectations have created new opportunities—and new challenges—for career practitioners supporting clients through employment negotiations.
This session explores practical strategies for helping clients prepare for confident, informed and effective salary negotiations while considering the broader employment offer. Participants will learn how to coach clients to research market compensation, evaluate total rewards, negotiate salary and workplace flexibility, communicate their value with confidence and make informed employment decisions in today's modern labour market.
